Overview: Getting comfortable with the process and user interface while conducting stress analyses on simple geometry.

Topics Include:

  • FEA’s role in the Product Development Process
  • Material Properties, Meshing, Assessing Quality, Stress, Strain, Etc.

Day 1 Projects: FEA Fundamentals

Day Two

Overview: Working with more complex geometry while analyzing both parts and assemblies.

Topics Include:

  • De-featuring and Mesh Refinement
  • Multiple Load Cases
  • Contact Pairs, Load Paths

Day 2 Projects: Complex Parts & Assembly Contact

Day Three

Overview: Fundamentals of simulating Heat Transfer using Finite Element Analysis.

Topics Include:

  • Conduction, Convection, and Radiation
  • Transient (Time Dependent) Analysis
  • Thermal Stress

Day 3 Projects:

Fastway Engine Hoist Creo Simulate Training Capstone Project

Day Four

Overview: Introduction to Buckling & Modal Analyses. After that, we put it all together for the Static Structural Capstone Project!

Day 4 Projects:

Day Five

Overview: Utilizing Simulate's Parametric environment to automatically optimize your design, and take the human out of the equation.
